    Dates are hella sweet but they also have fiber, micronutrients, minerals, and are a whole fruit (not dried like some people think). You can also stuff pitted dates with almond butter, or cashew butter, sprinkle them with coconut, lots of things You can make quite a treat out of them and they’re very satisfying for a sweet tooth.

    I quit drinking over 10 months ago. I'm 44, and I was a high functioning alcoholic. I could go through a bottle of whisky in a couple days while also having a family and a fulltime job. What convinced me to quit was seeing my dad and uncle die painfully of cancer and knowing that would be my fate if I didn't cut alcohol out of my life. I want to be there for my kids, and I want to set a positive example of self-respect and self-care. I gave it time to think if this was permanent or if I'd be able to moderate and have occasional, social drinks. The farther I get from the addiction, the more convinced I am to never go back. I don't like that aspect of myself, and I don't respect that person I was. I am now able to improve all aspects of my life without being crippled by addiction. By the way, there was no strategy to quit drinking. Something clicked for me. I had binged for a week on vacation, and I was disgusted with myself. I took the opportunity to also fix my diet when I quit drinking, so the health improvements came quickly and gave me the willpower to keep going. Each new milestone feels like I'm setting records, and I'm happier than ever. My wife and kids love the "new me" too! With Love.

    I took a buddy out to a Comedy Club for his Birthday. He drank beer, I drank Ginger Beer and a coffee. Had a great time and didn't think twice about it. Waitress just wants you to tip her, friends just want to have a good time, no one cares that you weren't drinking except the cops when you're driving home...

  • @SuperiorityQomplex
    @SuperiorityQomplex 10 месяцев назад

    I always tell my clients that the same chemicals we have going on in our body during anxiety are the one we feel when we're excited. Remember how you felt as a little kid before your birthday, excited about the presents you might get or the friends you'll see at your party? Were you excited or anxious? Have you ever run into those people who are just risk takers? Climbing up the side of mountains without ropes, speeding around corners on two wheels, become rockstars because they like publicly being up in front of a crowd. Those people are feeling the exact same feels that you feel when you're anxious, but their brains just interpreted it as excitement instead of fear and anxiety. Sometimes it's good to take a moment and reassess whether what we're actually feeling is really anxiety or is it just excitement. I mean, anxiety is supposed to protect you from scary things when you're in danger, right? It was an evolutionary survival thing to be scared of things that were gonna get ya. But now a days, we're not in much danger most of the time. So maybe it is just excitement..
